In the competitive business community of the 21 Century, technological and business innovations are very likely to be imitated. The improvement of innovations and development of new business models is not per se a bad thing. Yet, a straightforward copy or imitation of an e-business must definitely face intellectual property rights before it can reap any benefit. Facebook, for instance, is one of the greatest e-business inventions of these times. But, Facebook has had imitators that have faced legal challenges when trying to develop similar social platforms. This article informs on a challenge a company with a platform similar to Facebook experienced, and the court's ruling on this case.
